METHOD OF ARRANGEMENT AND ADJUSTMENT OF PHASE DIFFERENTIAL RELAY PROTECTION Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC H02H3/28

Abstract RU 2597243 C1

FIELD: energy.

SUBSTANCE: use: in electric power engineering. Method comprises dividing line of any configuration by embedded into wire phases of lines of inertialess force measuring shunts on double-end sections. At ends of wires of each phase of each section, oscillation pulses of preset high frequency are generated at transitions of industrial power current from negative to positive values. Oscillation pulses are transmitted through outputs of power measuring shunts by wires of each phase to opposite ends. Method includes measuring time between pulses of its and opposite ends on each section and, if it is less or greater than half-period of industrial sinusoidal current at specified value, e.g. 5-7 ms, activating read-only memory with recorded a parallel code of symbols of line, of double-end section, phase and short-circuited conductor. Parallel code is converted into a serial code, which is used to modulate oscillations of other specified high frequency different from specified frequencies of sections, and through leads of power measuring shunts transmitted via wires to head sections on ends of line. During transmission, method includes amplifying high-frequency oscillations of code on all sections. Through leads of last power measuring shunt at each end of line, signal is measured with serial code, which is filtered from industrial frequency and high-frequency carrier, then high-voltage potential is removed from line wires, for example, by electro-optical conversion, transmission over a fibre-optic core and reverse optoelectronic conversion. Obtained code is decoded at ground potential. By means of selected potential pulse switches off said end of line are turned off.

EFFECT: technical result is protection reliability improvement.
