FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a polymer granulate of thermoplastic polyesters or copolyesters from polyester melt using a device for extrusion granulation. According to method polyester melt is fed into a nozzle and then in form of bundles is directed by stretching rolls at outlet section to granulator. Diameter d and/or length l of nozzle opening is set so that ratio l/d satisfies condition l/d≤1. Bundles coming out of nozzle are brought into contact with cooling fluid or through air gap, length of which does not exceed 30 mm, or directly at nozzle outlet.
EFFECT: invention provides improved physical and mechanical properties.
