SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and aims at treating, relieving, or preventing deterioration of one or more visual system components in animals, at that deterioration is caused by normal ageing in absence of injury or disease identified as real cause for deterioration. For implementation of invention, animal is identified prone to disease or suffering from deterioration of one or more visual system components. Then animal is administered in coordination one or more unsaturated fatty acids (USFA), and one or more nitrogen oxide releasing compounds (NORC), in amount effective for treating, relieving, or preventing deterioration of such visual system components.
EFFECT: applying invention increases efficiency of treating, relieving, or preventing deterioration of one or more visual system components in animals with improved quality of life of animals.
