SUBSTANCE: group of inventions intended for preventing and/or treating eye diseases or disorders. Composition for preventing and/or treating ophthalmic disease or condition consists of N-acetyl-DL-leucine, one or more additional active substances and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. To additional active substances are added inhibitor of angiotensin-converting enzyme, folic acid, magnesium, potassium, L-arginine, H4b, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin C, omega-3 fatty acids, glucose and mixtures thereof. Kit comprising said composition is provided. Also provided is a method of maintaining or improving visual acuity, contrast vision, colour vision and/or field of view, involving administering said composition to animals in need thereof.
