GATED TELEVISION SYSTEM WITH A PULSED ILLUMINATION SOURCE Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC H01J31/50 H04N7/18

Abstract RU 2597889 C2

FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical instrument making, namely to systems intended for detection and monitoring of various objects in conditions of limited visibility (during night time, rain and mist, snow, environment smoke, dust storm), and can be used for search and rescue operations, in security systems, military, in various vehicles, for example, river and sea ships. Result is achieved by the fact that night vision gated system containing a cascade-connected unit of optical emitter pulse supply, optical emitter and a transmitting lens, forming a illumination beam, cascade-connected narrowband transmitting optical filter, receiving lens, electro-optical converter (EOC), matching lens which transfers an image from the EOC screen on the optical input of the charge-coupled device (CCD) of the television camera, television camera, including CCD with line image transfer, operation mode control circuit and a clock generator, a gated pulses former, monitor and control unit, there is additional EOC gate control pulse former and switchboard, outputs of the line synchronizing and setting pulses of the clock generator, connected to additional inputs of the control unit, control unit outputs connected via the switchboard and EOC gate control pulse former to the input of high-voltage pulse former of gating EOC. Such design of active-pulsed television system allows eliminating narrow-band optical filter and provides high accuracy and stability of generating delays and pulse time used in television system, and also provides the possibility of using natural illumination during image formation in pulse illumination mode and gating delay.

EFFECT: technical result is higher resolution capability and sensitivity of active-pulsed television system.
