FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: engine 7 runs on diesel fuel fed via fuel feed line 9 into engine. Then, engine changes over to gas-diesel mode. Liquefied natural gas is forced front tank 1 under gaseous gas pressure of receiver 5 into evaporator 2 to it to be gasified and, downstream of receiver 5 is fed into mixer 8 and, therefrom, into engine 1. At feed of gas-air mix instead of clean air fuel heat capacity is increased in the engine to allow notable decrease in fuel consumption. Mechanical power is transmitted from engine 7 by shaft 12 via reduction gearbox 14 to screw propeller 13 to drive the ship.
EFFECT: more stable run on gas fuel, decreased diesel fuel consumption, lower toxicity of exhaust gases.
