FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to textile chemistry and specifically to finishing works during the production of textile silver-containing cellulose-containing fibrous materials having antibacterial properties. Method for producing silver- containing antibacterial cellulose-containing textiles involves impregnation with aqueous solution containing silver nitrate, heat treatment of impregnated material, washing with water and drying. Before impregnation dry material is either heat treated at the temperature of 150-180 °C during 1-10 minutes or treated with IR-radiation for 1-10 c, wherein the processing time varies depending on the concentration of silver nitrate, and thermal treatment of impregnated material is performed by steaming the material in water vapor at the temperature of 99-100 °C during 1-10 minutes or boiling at the temperature of 99-100 °C for 1-10 minutes.

EFFECT: technical result - reduction of material and energy consumption, no additional reagents and simple procedure, reduced time of energy-consuming process operations, as well as reduction or elimination of deterioration of material strength, higher stability to wet treatment.
