FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to digital systems for receiving and processing of signals and is intended for estimating current signal-noise ratio. Method comprises the following steps: receiving an additive mixture y(t)=s(t)+n(t) of symbols sequence of the preset length with manipulation phase s(t) and AWGN n(t), separation of quadrature components of the complex envelope of the received signal IY and QY in a quadrature mixer, determining a mean square of the in-phase component , here and then line above is calculation of time-average value of the corresponding parameter for the preset duration of the sample, determining a mean square of the quadrature component , determining a square of the mean module (absolute value) of the in-phase component , determining the square of the mean value of the quadrature component , determining the current value of the module (vector length) of the signal complex envelope , estimating the current signal-noise ratio.
EFFECT: high accuracy of estimating signal-noise ratio.
