FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates a composite closure having a double-wall, which includes a closure cap having an upper wall portion, inner annular skirt portion for engagement with corresponding container and an outer annular skirt portion. Inner and outer annular skirt portions extend from upper wall portion and arranged concentrically to each other. Said closure comprises a sealing gasket arranged in closure cap on inner surface of upper wall portion of said closure cap. Also disclosed is a method for compression moulding said sealing gasket.

EFFECT: invention enables internal moulding of sealing gasket, eliminating need for normal induction seal with foil, which improves ease of use by consumers.
