FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: method envisages monthly selection of 15-25 molluscs in the investigated water area, external and internal examination and subsequent parasitological analysis. External examination involves studying molluscs shell sections. Internally examined are gills and connective tissues of molluscs bodies, which are then removed from shells, and under a microscope presence of gregarines oocysts is identified and molluscs contamination degree is determined. Epizootic background of the investigated water area by nematopsiosis factor is considered to be weakly invasive, if from 0.1 to 10 % of molluscs in the sample are infected; average - at 11-30 %; strong - 31-55 %, and hyperinfection is stated when 56-100 % of examined molluscs are infected by nematopsis.
EFFECT: method enables diagnosing nematopsiosis in mussels and oysters at the earliest stages of its occurrence and minimizing losses, which it can inflict.
