FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline transportation of oil and oil products. Described is a method for obtaining a reagent for reducing hydrodynamic resistance of flow of liquid hydrocarbons in pipelines by polymerisation of alpha-olefins C6-C14 in presence of a catalyst and catalyst activator. Polymerisation of alpha-olefins C6-C14 is carried out in medium of a monomer with addition of saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon composition C6-C14 with monomer conversion 96.0-99.5 wt%. Catalyst used is microspherical titanium trichloride, catalyst activator used is a mixture with weight ratio from 1:10 to 10:1 diethylaluminium chloride and triisobutylaluminium. Polymer is obtained, having molecular weight higher than 107 amu with narrow molecular weight distribution of not more than 1.5 with a given ratio of components, wt%. Further, polymer is milled to produce a commercial form of reagent.

EFFECT: obtaining a reagent with required properties at high values of conversion of starting monomer material, reduced hydrodynamic resistance of flow of liquid hydrocarbons in pipelines, high throughput of pipeline, reduced transportation costs.
