SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to a sub-module of modular multistage frequency converter with single-pole energy accumulator and connected in parallel to the accumulator of energy of powerful semiconductor series circuit containing two serially connected power semiconductor switches with the same direction of transmission, wherein opposite-parallel to each power-on and power-off powerful semiconductor switch is connected an inertia-free diode. Note here that at least one of circuits: the first and second circuit of connecting clamps and shunting circuit comprises inductive element.
EFFECT: prevention of fast increase or disconnection of current in circuit of energy accumulator.
