SUBSTANCE: one proposes a device (1) containing a serial connection of submodules (7) equipped with a semiconductor power device circuit (T1, T2, D1, D2) and an electric energy accumulator (8) connected parallel to the semiconductor power device circuit (T1, T2, D1, D2), each submodule (7) connected to the short-circuiting device for the submodule short-circuiting. The invention envisages that the short-circuiting device is represented by a vacuum interrupter tube (100).
EFFECT: device is cost efficient and simultaneously allows safe defective submodule bridging.
