FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: multi zone direct to alternate current converter, i.e. current inverter, relates to electrical engineering and is necessary for supply of controlled AC motors. Multi zone direct to alternate current converter includes direct current source, capacitor voltage divider and 3n parallel groups of series-connected controlled unidirectional valves, wherein each such group is connected to anode of upper valve to "+" of current source, and cathode is to upper plate of corresponding capacitor in capacitor voltage divider. Cathode of lower controlled valve is connected to "-" of current source and anode is connected to cathode of upper valve and with upper cover of corresponding capacitor in capacitor divider.

EFFECT: proposed multilevel three-phase DC-AC converter is characterized by smaller number of semiconductor elements, which leads to reduced weight and dimensions of converter.
