FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: converter of AC voltage into DC is related to electric engineering and is necessary for supply of controlled electric motors of DC voltage. Converter comprises two groups of n controlled valves each, chain of n-serially connected capacitors, two groups of diodes from n-diodes each, besides, one group of n controlled valves that are serially connected, is coupled with cathode of extreme valve to one outlet of single-phase source of supply, and with anode of another extreme valve of group - to one lead of load, the second group of serially connected controlled valves is connected with anode of extreme valve to another outlet of single-phase source of supply, and with cathode - to the second lead of load, besides between anodes of serially connected controlled valves of the first group and leads of sections of n-serially connected capacitors there are diodes of the first additional group joined in, with cathodes to leads, also between cathodes of serially connected controlled valves of the second group and leads of sections of n-serially connected capacitors there are diodes of the second additional group joined in, with anodes to taps of sections.
EFFECT: converter is simpler and is characterised by reduced values of inverse voltage at valves.
