FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to piston machines with contactless labyrinth seals and can be used in designing highly economical piston pump-compressors. Machine comprises cylinder 1 with piston 3, compressor cavity 4 and pump cavity 5 with suction valves 6 and 7 and discharge valves 8 and 9. Valves 7 and 9 are arranged symmetrically relative to cylinder axis. Piston 3 comprises labyrinth seals 10 and 11, with differently directed screw surfaces with rectangular cross-section of clutches. Piston 3 has ability to rotate relative to rod 12. Piston skirt 3 is equipped with blades 14 with concave surface towards the valves 7. Length L of blades 14 exceeds piston stroke Sh. Axis of the valves 7 and 9 are arranged along tangent to circle 15 located in plane perpendicular to axis of cylinder 1 and passing through axis of cross-section symmetry of blades 14. Fluid flows coming via valves 7 and 9 form rotation of liquid in the cavity 5, which presses on the blades 14, piston 3 is being rotated, preventing by screw labyrinths 10 and 11 appearance of leakages from cavity 5 to cavity 4 and vice versa.
EFFECT: purity of the compressed gas and machine efficiency are improved.
