FIELD: energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used in making pistons of high-efficiency machines for compression and transfer of gases and fluids. Machine comprises cylinder 1 and arranged therein with radial clearance 2 piston 3 with compressor 5 and pump 6 cavities. On cylindrical surface of piston there is groove 15, which divides its surface into two parts 16 and 17. Side surfaces of grooves are located at acute angle to axis of piston 3 and cylinder 1 in direction to compressor cavity 5. Volume of grooves is defined by expression: , where V is volume of groove, D is piston diameter, δ is radial clearance between piston and cylinder, is average differential pressure on piston during compression-injection of gas, L is length of cylindrical part of piston enclosed between lower shoulder of groove and lower end of piston, µ is dynamic viscosity of liquid, τ is time during which piston moves from lower dead point to upper dead point and vice versa, is average speed of piston, with which it moves from lower dead point to upper dead point and vice versa.
EFFECT: higher efficiency at relatively large gaps and reliability of starting.
