SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in toothed gears with coarse-grained large-diameter gear wheels with different, including the ones, modes of loading the teeth along circumferences of the wheels. Gear wheel comprises a body, a toothed rim with teeth and a pair of ring pads fixed on the teeth ends and on the body end faces sections adjacent to the toothed rim. On sections of the wheel circumference with impact loading of the teeth the outer radius of appropriate sections of the pads is less than the outer radius of the pads sections on sections of the wheel circumference with non-impact loading of the teeth.

EFFECT: provided is higher smoothness of the gear wheel.
