SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly to machine parts, and can be used in heavily loaded tooth gears subjected to impact loads. Gear wheel, mainly large-scale modular, comprises a body, a toothed rim with teeth and a pair of flat ring pads fixed on the teeth ends with abutment to their vertices. Sections of the pads located between adjacent teeth have the outer profile curvature larger than the curvature of the wheel toothed rim vertices circle. Curvature of the internal profile of pads is equidistant to the curvature of their external profile.

EFFECT: provided is damped shock loads acting on the wheel teeth.
