FIELD: machine building; transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport. Car with opening roof comprises body with end and side walls and two crosswise rotary semi-roofs secured on face walls. Each semi-roof consists of two sections of various height, made with possibility of independent rotation, each section includes two T-shaped posts (6, 7) with balancing and inclination mechanisms. Covering fastening ropes are stretched between posts. Posts are equipped with sliding or rolling over arc stops supports rigidly fixed on end walls. Posts of both half-roofs section with identical height on each end wall are engaged by gear sectors. Posts balancing mechanisms are made in form of compression springs and rotation mechanisms are in form of pneumatic cylinders.

EFFECT: invention simplifies and eases structure and makes loading and unloading easier.
