SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio communication systems and more particularly to group communication systems using hierarchical half-duplex TDMA (time division multiple access) technology. For this purpose, a base device comprises two antennae which transmit a second beacon through a second antenna. In this way, handsets whose position involves masking of first antenna can receive beacon transmitted by second antenna and connect to base. Particular embodiments make it possible to limit consumption of base communication units by using units used for communication to carry this second beacon.
EFFECT: high transmission channel throughput.
