FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, soil mechanics, engineering geology, mining, in particular, to soils laboratory tests for determination of their physical and mechanical properties. Summary: soil sample preparation is performed, sample installation into instrument clip, creation of axial pressure on sample and measuring parameters characterizing soil sample condition. For determining of soil strength characteristics in process of axial active σ1,i pressure growth side jet σ3,i pressure is also measured during soil sample compression, for detection of axial pressure values exceeding structural strength, controlled change of mi ratio increments between side Δσzi and axial Δσ1i and with of axial pressure σ1,i arbitrary value, when ratio of m(i)-2= mi-1= mi= m = const, testing is stopped with determination of internal friction angle: soil structural strength: and adhesion: where σ1,i, σ3, i - current values of pressures, and σ1,i>σstr; m is soil lateral pressure factor; at limit state by Coulomb-Mohr with σ1,i>σstr.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility to considerably reduce laboratory tests production costs to determine mechanical properties of soils, reduce labor costs, as well as increase reliability of soil strength characteristics determining.
