FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for determination of mineral oils in atmospheric air and air of closed rooms. Samples are taken from atmospheric air and air of closed rooms by their concentration on an AFA-VP-20 filter at a rate of 100 l/min for 20 minutes. Further, method then includes extraction with isooctane. To construct a calibration curve solutions of mineral oil in isooctane with concentration of 2.0; 5.0; 10.0; 20.0; 50.0; 100.0 mcg/cm3 are used. Measurement is carried out at analytical wavelength of 210 nm. Range of determined concentrations of mineral oils in air is 0.01-0.5 mg/m3.
