FIELD: machine building; technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining of parts and can be used for securing machined part. Device (10) is configured to clamp the workpiece by means of a rotary clamping lever (18) and comprises a clamping unit, a drive unit mounted on the clamping unit, rotary shaft (90) which is rotatable together with clamping lever (18) as an integral part under the action of the drive unit, detection object (20) made of metal and mounted on pivot shaft (90), one proximity sensor (22) arranged opposite detection object (20) and configured to generate eddy currents and detecting magnetic losses in detection object (20), which enables to determine the position of clamping lever (18).
EFFECT: use of invention simplifies design of clamping device and increases accuracy of clamping lever position determination.
