FIELD: pharmaceuticals; technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing dihydroterpineol, valuable raw material for organic synthesis and pharmacology. Method includes hydrogenating α of terpineol in presence of catalyst in form of highly porous cellular catalyst, consisting of base α of aluminium oxide with active substrate of γaluminium oxide in amount of 6.5-8.0 wt% and catalytically active palladium component 0.8-2.0 wt%. Wherein process is carried out at temperature 60-80 °C and initial hydrogen pressure 1.8-2.0 MPa.
EFFECT: proposed method allows to obtain end product with output of 90-95 %, using simplified technology.
