FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of catalyst production. Invention covers the method of making catalysts for liquid-phase reduction of organic substances with aluminum oxide-based carrier. Carrier particles feature grain size of 30-160 mcm and developed surface and are produced by impregnating aluminium α-oxide powder with sol of aluminium γ-oxide and calcination at 800-1000°C. said carrier is impregnated with solution of high-molecular organic compound (polyvinyl alcohol, carboxymethyl cellulose), subjected to calcination to make the layer of pyrolytic carbon in amount of 0.7-5.0 wt %. thereafter, produced material is impregnated with solution of active component (palladium compounds) and heat treated to produce metallic palladium in amount of 0.3-10 wt % on material surface.
EFFECT: higher durability of catalyst and yield of target products.
