METHOD OF MULTILAYER PEAT MAT MAKING Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A01B13/16 E02D17/20

Abstract RU 2601043 C1

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of artificial coatings which are intended for multipurpose use, mainly for protection of upper soil layer from erosion, protection and reinforcement of ground embankments and slopes layers, ground landslides, recovery of vegetable layer at reclamation, creation of fertile soil layer, cleaning soil from oil and oil products, creation of deep mat on livestock farms and poultry farms with floor poultry keeping. Method involves making a mat with higher moisture-retaining capacity, which is a multilayer structure. Design of mat is made of water-retaining filler layers in form of peat arranged between layers of decomposable nonwoven fabrics from natural fibres and attached to them. When making mat first placed is non-woven material first layer (2), then by means of batching unit (3) filler (4) layer equal to 8-12 mm is uniformly dispersed on the first layer (2). Then above filler (4) second layer (6) of non-woven fabrics is placed and using needle-punching head (7) attachment of first layer (2) with second layer (6) by means of needles (8) with jags is performed. Then loose materials second batching unit (9) uniformly scatters filler layer (10) with thickness of 10 mm over the second layer (6), at which the third layer (12) of non-woven material is arranged. Then using next needle-punching head (13) the third non-woven material layer (12) is connected with second layer (6), without affecting the first layer (2) by needles (8). Number of layers depends on the set task, but not less than three. At least in one filler layer an additional component is introduced. Additional component is represented by soil mixture with seeds of plants or natural or artificial adsorbent selected depending on performance of mat respectively as bio-mat or adsorbing mat function.

EFFECT: such technology allows to increase strength of connection between all layers of mat with expansion of functionality and reliability.
