SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to biotechnology and can be used in agriculture. Obtained biologically active radiolabeled Cry1Fa protein can be used in competitive binding assays with other Cry toxins for determining activity of tested compounds.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a cysteine-specific radiolabeled Cry1Fa protein which retains insecticidal activity against insect pests and binds to insect brush border membrane vesicle receptors in a saturable manner.
