FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave engineering and can be used in waveguide channels transmitters, receivers, radar antennae for directional transmission of electromagnetic waves. Y-circulator has symmetrical three-arm waveguide Y-branching in H-plane, three ferrite inserts, coaxially installed on opposite wide walls of waveguide Y-branch, in area of circular polarisation, and a magnetic system. To widen operating frequency band and increase electric strength of Y-circulator all ferrite inserts are made in form of two trihedral equilateral ferrite prisms and are oriented by one lateral face orthogonally to planes of symmetry of Y-branches to its centre.
EFFECT: technical effect of present invention is a wider operating frequency band and higher electric strength of Y-circulators.
