CIRCULATOR Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: SHF equipment. SUBSTANCE: circulator has Y branching of rectangular waveguides in H plane in which center cylindrical recess is made in one of wide walls where ferrite magnetized disc is installed. Dielectric plate in the form of disc or equilateral triangular prism is located on wide wall of Y branching with overlapping of cylindrical recess. It is made from material which dielectric permittivity $$$ is equal to $$$ and thickness of plate H=$$$ where $$$ is wave length in free space. Dielectric insert which material thickness and dielectric permittivity are less than thickness and dielectric permittivity of material of dielectric plate is positioned between magnetized ferrite disc and outer edge of cylindrical recess. Dielectric insert can be fabricated in the form of disc with minimal diameter $$$ or in the form of flat ring which width 1 is found as 1=(2-4)h, where $$$ is diameter of magnetized ferrite disc; h is thickness of flat ring.
