FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an improved method of producing acid chlorides of 2-, 3- and 4-hydroxybenzoic acids. Chlorinating agent used is an organic oxohalogenid (oxalyl chloride) and the process is carried out in the conditions of the reaction mixture boiling at the molar ratio of acid:oxalyl chloride:dimethyl formamide of 1:1.1:0.07.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain acid chlorides of hydroxybenzoic acids with high output.
