FIELD: seismology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict the time of occurrence of earthquake. Character of invention: water is sampled from the bottom of Baikal and two selfpumping boreholes. Concentration of helium in water is analyzed. Graphs showing the changes of concentration of helium are made. Pair indicator function and integrated indicator function are calculated to predict the time of occurrence of earthquake.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability of prediction of time of occurrence of earthquake.
