METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INTEGRITY OF GNSS COORDINATE INFORMATION FOR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G01C21/24

Abstract RU 2601617 C2

FIELD: navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to satellite navigation and air traffic control (ATC). For this purpose, coordinates of aircraft, determined aboard aircraft using a satellite navigation system and transmitted via a digital automatic dependent surveillance - broadcast (ADS-B) channel to an air traffic control system for processing and display to an air traffic controller, are compared with coordinates of same aircraft, measured by a reference coordinate information source, for example, a radar station. If a predetermined threshold of distance between locations of aircraft, estimated based on measurements of satellite navigation system and reference observation source, is exceeded, decision is made on violation of integrity in satellite navigation information processing and transmission circuit, which is automatically eliminated in real-time air environment display of air traffic controller. Invention provides preset probabilities of missing low-quality navigation information and false alert on appearance of such information.

EFFECT: technical result is broader functional capabilities.
