FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: suspension bridge with a universal self-centering system and lower arrangement of replacement rollers is high wind-resistant, since it is suspended by means of a strained cable. Only the fourth part of the total load on a bridge exposes to pylons. Superstructure suspension bridge is suspended by means of self-centering systems, each of which includes an external base - ground and pylons with fixed outer rollers, or rotation sprockets, and internal base with four inner rollers or sprockets, successively connected to the external closed cable or the chain. Superstructure internal base is suspended by means of a closed cable or chain, and on the ground in each pair of outer rollers there is a spring-loaded tension roller with a spring, fixed on the ground. One of the properties of the universal self-centering system consist in the fact that load P, acting on the internal base, is shared between rollers of the external base. Internal base always returns to initial the position when there is no load P. This positioning is independent of temperature and force of tension springs.
EFFECT: properties of the self-centering system provide high resistance to seismic vibrations.
