FIELD: drilling of soil or rock.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to drilling industry. In the method of reducing reaction capacity of clays and plates during drilling operations water-based drilling mud is used, containing an agent of inhibiting of plate rocks hydration, selected from a group consisting of: 2-ethoxy-1-aminoethane, 2-propoxy-1-aminoethane, 2-butoxy-1-aminoethane, 1-ethoxy-2-aminopropan, 1-propoxy-2-aminopropan or 1-butoxy-2-aminopropan, wherein the agent of inhibiting of plate rocks hydration is present in concentration sufficient to reduce reaction capacity of clay or plate rock, from 2.85 kg/m3.
EFFECT: effective inhibition of unstable state of clay.
