FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing Nδ-nitroso-Nδ-[(2-chloroethyl) carbamoyl]-L-ornithine of formula 1, having anti-tumour activity. According to disclosed method Nδ-nitroso-Nδ-[(2-chloroethyl)carbamoyl]-L-ornithine is obtained from a mixture of isomers Nδ-nitroso-Nδ-[(2-chloroethyl) carbamoyl]-L-ornithine and Nδ-[(2-chloroethyl)-N-nitrosocarbamoyl]-L-ornithine, wherein solution of mixture of isomers in water is held for 50 hours at +37 °C, reaction mass is concentrated and held for 8 hours at +8 °C.
EFFECT: disclosed method does not require complex implementation and allows in one cycle to obtain a considerable amount of target product.
