FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar and can be used in surveillance radar stations for direction-finding active jammers. Method is based on a known method of suppressing side lobes, which, using two receiving channels: a main receiving channel with narrow-directed antenna beam pattern and an additional receiving channel with a beam pattern, overlapping side lobes of beam pattern of main receiving channel, at least level of main lobe of its beam pattern, wherein method includes determining ratio of active jamming level (AJL) at output of main receiving channel to AJL at output of additional receiving channel and obtained AJL ratio is compared with two threshold values, respectively equal to minimum and maximum value of ratio of level of beam pattern of main receiving channel to level of beam pattern of additional receiving channel within area of direction-finding. Decision is made on direction-finding active jammers, if obtained AJL ratio is greater than first threshold value and not greater than second threshold value.

EFFECT: fewer cases of false direction-finding active jammers.
