FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in radar systems (RS) with mirror and horn antenna for direction finding of radiation sources with high resolution with equisignal amplitude method of direction finding. In the disclosed method, performing the digital recording of the amplitude-azimuth characteristic (AAC) in the estimated azimuthal range with small sampling, selected depending on accuracy characteristics of direction finding. When magnifying side lobes, sum and difference laws are used, which also make it possible to determine a false bearing, since they simultaneously have a periodic nature. Thus, it is possible to create a method for selection of false bearings in a passive radar system with a single survey of a rotating AFS. Considering separately the direction-finding characteristics of each channel and the common differential direction-finding characteristic of each channel, possibility of false bearing measurement when receiving a signal can be reduced.

EFFECT: reducing the probability of false bearing to radiation sources when using direction finding methods based on selection of false bearings in a passive radar station with a single survey of a rotating antenna-feeder system (AFS).
