FIELD: pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fine organic synthesis, synthesis of medical preparations and method of producing methyl formate with stable carbon isotope 13C, used for producing diagnostic preparations used in medical diagnosis of diseases. Method of producing methyl formate, traced with stable carbon isotope 13C, includes production of sodium formate, traced with carbon isotope 13C by processing of preliminarily prepared solution of sodium hydroxide in methanol with concentration close to saturation with carbon isotope monoxide at temperature 80-120 °C and pressure 1.5…2.5 MPa for 2…2.5 hours, sequential mixing of obtained sodium formate, traced with carbon isotope with excess of methanol and excess of concentrated sulfuric acid; then mixture is boiled for 1.5…2 hours, and then methyl-formate, traced with carbon isotope 13C, is extracted.
EFFECT: this technology allows to obtain a high degree of carbon isotope binding under sufficiently mild conditions of treatment with high output of the corresponding sodium formate and with low losses of expensive carbon isotope oxide.
