SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a tipping paper web for use in the manufacture of tobacco products in a machine for the production of tobacco products. Proposed is a tipping paper web for supplying to a machine for the production of smoking articles, which cuts the web into separate pieces and wraps each piece around a respective double-length filter rod for fastening rods of smoking material to the ends of each double-length filter rod, wherein the first side portion of the tipping paper web comprises a first longitudinal group of first indicators and the second side portion of the tipping paper web comprises a second longitudinal group of second indicators, and the first and second indicators are different from each other, so that the first indicator indicates a first-type smoking article and the second indicator indicates a second-type smoking article, which differs from the first-type smoking article, when the tipping paper web is wrapped around a double-length filter rod using a machine for the manufacture of smoking articles, the first part of a tipping paper piece, formed from the first side portion of the tipping paper web, is wrapped around the first portion of the double-length filter rod when forming a first-type smoking article and the first indicator on the first part of said piece indicates that said first portion of the double-length filter rod is a part of a first-type smoking article, and the second part of a tipping paper piece, formed from the second side portion of the tipping paper web, is wrapped around the second portion of the double-length filter rod when forming a second-type smoking article, and the second indicates on the second portion of said piece, which differs from the indicator on the first portion of said piece, indicates that said second portion of the double-length filter rod is a part of a second-type smoking article before cutting the double-length filter rod and said piece into a first segment of the filter rod, which is wrapped in said first portion of said piece and which, together with the rod of smoking material attached thereto, forms a first-type smoking article, and a second segment of the filter rod, which is wrapped in said second part of said piece and which, together with the rod of smoking material attached thereto, forms a second-type smoking article.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the improved tipping paper web.
