Method for simultaneous manufacture of smoking articles of two different types using a machine for manufacture of smoking articles, which comprises device for feeding filter rods, rod fastening unit for fastening rods of smoking material to each longitudinal end of double-length filter rod received from device for feeding filter rods, and cutting device for cutting double-length filter rod into two filter rod segments, so that each segment, together with a rod of smoking material attached to each segment, forms smoking product, moreover, the method includes loading filter rods in device for feeding filter rods, which comprise filter tow and which are designed in such a way that two segments of filter rod, obtained by cutting from double-length filter rod with cutting device, have different characteristics.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is improvement of method of manufacturing smoking products of various types.
