FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of vegetable oils, in particular, to methods for preparation of sunflower seeds for extraction of oil. Method for preparation of sunflower seeds for extraction of oil comprises monitoring fan fraction, which is carried out by separation on a screen surface to produce a passage fraction, consisting of fine particles of kernel and husks, and tailing fan fraction. Tailing fraction is separated in a vertical air flow at its working speed in range of 5.0 m/s to 7.0 m/s to produce a kernel fraction, which together with passage fraction is discharged into a common stream of kernel fraction. Obtained air-carried particles of husks and fine particles of kernel are fed for inspecting husks.
EFFECT: invention enables during preparation of sunflower seeds for extraction of oil to reduce losses of oil from shells.
