FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used for fixating soft tissue to hard tissue with aid of a suture or a headed anchor. Anchor is forced into hard tissue and then anchored therein by in situ liquefaction of a material having thermoplastic properties. Device comprises a vibration tool, anchor and support element. Anchor comprises an anchor foot and a thermoplastic sleeve comprising material having thermoplastic properties. Anchor foot has a distal end suitable for being forced into hard tissue and it is connected to distal end of vibration tool. Thermoplastic sleeve sits on a proximal face of anchor foot. Vibration tool and/or a proximal portion of anchor foot extend into or through thermoplastic sleeve. Connection between tool and anchor foot is equipped for not only transmitting vibration from tool to anchor foot but also for transmitting a compressive and a tensile force. Anchor can be forced into hard tissue by applying compressive force and vibration to tool and can be anchored in hard tissue by liquefaction of sleeve material by applying tensile force and vibration to tool.

EFFECT: as a result two steps of fixation process are carried out using same tool and without displacing tool between two steps.
