SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to surgery. Suture retainer to fix a suture material relative to a solid tissue comprises a pin, a material with thermoplastic properties arranged, at least partially, on the periphery of the pin, a suture channel for retention of the suture material positioned on the distal end of the pin, herewith for the suture material fixation relative to the solid tissue there is a suture groove passing in axial direction along the pin and having a zero depth section on the proximal end of the pin, herewith the suture channel on the distal end of the pin is a slot passing across the distal surface of pin. Method for fixation of the suture material in a solid tissue is implemented as follows. Hole is made in a solid tissue having such cross-section dimension, that for the pin to be fitted into the said hole it is necessary to apply force. Suture retainer pin is inserted with force into the hole made in the solid tissue transmitting some energy to the suture retainer for a time sufficient for liquefaction of at least a portion of the material with thermoplastic properties at the points of contact with the solid tissue inside the hole made in the solid tissue. Suture material is fixed by its clamping between the solid tissue and the suture retainer on the zero depth section of the suture groove or by its clamping or locking by deformation of the suture channel.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides resistance to cutting action of the suture material, reliable fixation of the suture material.
