METHOD OF FILLING DECAY CAVITY Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61C5/00

Abstract RU 2602496 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to therapeutic dentistry, and is intended for use in restoration of the function and aesthetics of a tooth crown. Decay cavity is dissected. Before processing it is followed by medicated treatment of the prepared decay cavity with 2 % chlorhexidine bigluconate solution, which is left on the walls of the decay cavity for 30-60 seconds, then dried with air. That is followed by etching the prepared dentine and the enamel with etching gel "ETCHMASTER 36 % Ag". Gel is distributed on the prepared surface of the decay cavity with a hard brush and left for 5-30 seconds. After holding the prepared surface is washed, dried with air. Then again the prepared decay cavity is processed with 2 % chlorhexidine bigluconate solution, which is left on the walls of the decay cavity for 1 minute. Then dried with air. Then a soft brush from a synthetic fibre is used to apply an adhesive. Then curing for 30 seconds, after which the adhesive is dried with air for 15-20 seconds and polymerized. Then one introduces a filling material, the surface of the tooth seal is formed and polymerized, after which the surface of the seal is ground and polished. After that postbonding: after polishing the surface of the seal and the healthy enamel along the border of the seal on the width of 2 mm is applied with etching gel "ETCHMASTER 36 % Ag". Gel, being rubbed, is distributed on the etched surfaces with a hard brush from a synthetic fibre and left for 5-60 seconds, then washed with water. Treated surface of the gel is dried. Dried surface is coated with a thin layer of a coating system, from which, after a required delay time, the solvent is evaporated with air. Then the tooth is polymerized on all sides.

EFFECT: method allows to reduce the probability of secondary caries due to abnormality of edge abutment of the filling material by development of conditions preventing penetration into the filling of microorganisms causing caries.
