FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metal forming and can be used for production of parts like deep cylindrical sleeves with conical bottom part. Cylindrical billet, diameter of which is equal to outer diameter of the bottom part of the barrel, is deformed by moving punch and cavities of the matrix through the gap between surfaces of conical sections. Workpiece is exposed to a movable pusher. Upon that punch and matrix are fixed with observance of the specified conditions. At final stage of deformation metal displacement is carried out through a gap which width provides specified thickness of wall of the conical part of shell. Punch-in the device is fixed, and the matrix and pusher are independent from each other's movements. Matrix can be fixed relative to punch.
EFFECT: result is reduction of power consumption and higher quality.
