SUBSTANCE: device (1) separation of piece goods (2) contains a transportation device (3) for transportation of goods on bearing surface (5) of receiving device (27), device (6) of transportation device, sensor (7) of detector on bearing surface commodities, detection device, connected with control device, to determine position and orientation of goods and unloading device (8-11) for removal of goods with bearing surface. Detector has a source (18, 19) of light, arranged above bearing surface. Light source generates one or more light beams (22), which fall on bearing surface only perpendicular. Light beams are moved so, that light beams pass in series along the whole defined by the bearing surface. Receiving device transmits light from the light source, passing through the bearing surface, and scatters light in each position of bearing surface so, that part of light is directed to image recording device.
EFFECT: improved determination of piece goods.
