FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to support assemblies (100) of rolls to be used in metallurgy. Unit contains roll with barrel (11) of roll and two trunnions (10) of roll and at least one trunnion bushing (20) for installation without possibility of rotation at least one of journals (10) of roll. Between trunnion (10) of roll and trunnion bushing (20) there is gripping element (23), which acts as joint with geometrical closure without possibility of rotation. Increasing carrying capacity of support roller, without increasing its structural or mounting dimensions, ease of mounting is ensured by fact that trunnion (10) of roll is installed in trunnion bushing (20) with radial clearance, as a result, in unloaded state due to radial gap is formed annular space (12) between trunnion (10) of roll and trunnion bushing (20).
EFFECT: in order to increase empty space (12), journal (10) of roll or inner working surface (21) of trunnion bushing (20) are made with concave circuit (40) or profile.
