FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to support assembly (100) of a forming roll for use in metallurgy. Assembly contains a roll with body (11) and two journals (10) and at least one bushing (20) to arrange without a crank or a gap one of journals (10). To improve bearing capacity of the support assembly without increasing its structural or mounting size, in the unloaded state between bushing (20) and journal (10) an enveloping cavity is formed limited with a concavity rotationally-symmetric in the plane of the longitudinal section of roll assembly (100) and made on side surface (13) of journal (10) and/or inner side surface (21) of bushing (20).
EFFECT: increasing bearing capacity of the support assembly.
