FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to precision instrumentation and can be used during development and operation of navigation systems on the basis of gyroscopic devices (GD). Method for self-compensation of gyroscopic device drifts independent of acceleration, for estimation of which the current value of rated integral parameter N defined by mathematical processing of output signals of gyroscope, angle transducer readings and accelerometers is used. Forced turning of the frame around the axis, parallel to axis of the kinetic moment through the current rated correction angle of the frame turning, is performed when the current value achieves or exceeds the rated integral parameter N of a preset threshold, determined as a ratio of mean-square deviation (MSD) of maximum permissible direction storage error, caused by structural drifts to MSD of the drift uncertainty.

EFFECT: technical result is increased accuracy of a navigation system owing to reduced effect of structural drifts of GU on the basic direction storage error irrespective of law of the object motion.
